Analysis, development and implementation of the overall strategy of socio-economic development of the city. Supervises issues of economy, industry, including construction industry enterprises, pricing, government signs and securities, quality and competitiveness of industrial products, property relations, non-cash payments, statistics and analysis, entrepreneurship and investment policy, public procurement, trade, public services, consumer protection, insurance, foreign and regional economic relations, implementation of measures to modernize supervised industries. Monitors the implementation of social standards for servicing the population of the city in the supervised industries, the Directive of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated June 14, 2007 № 3 «On priority areas for strengthening the economic security of the state». Interaction with industry trade unions.

- implementation of measures of the Comprehensive plan of socio-economic development of Baranovichi;
- compliance with the requirements of the legislation on appeals of citizens and legal entities, administrative procedures in the structural divisions of the City Executive Committee in the field of activity;
- inspection of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties of the Republic of Belarus in the city of Baranovichi;
